Corporate Secretary (Company Secretary)
A statutory officer appointed within 6 months of incorporation, responsible for the company's compliance filings.
Under Singapore's Companies Act, every Pte Ltd must appoint a corporate secretary within 6 months of incorporation. The corporate secretary is a statutory officer responsible for maintaining the company's registers, preparing AGM and director resolutions, lodging ACRA filings (annual return, change of officer particulars, share allotments), and ensuring the company complies with the Companies Act. The role can be outsourced to an ACRA-Registered Filing Agent.
