Issued Share Capital
The total value of shares issued to shareholders - Singapore companies have no minimum capital requirement.
Share capital is the total value of shares a company has issued to its shareholders. Singapore has no minimum share capital requirement - a Pte Ltd can be incorporated with as little as S$1 paid-up capital. Share capital can be increased through new share allotments and decreased through buybacks or capital reductions (which require court or solvency-statement procedures). Some scenarios (banking licences, EP applications, fund management licences) effectively require higher capital.
A startup typically incorporates with S$1,000 paid-up capital divided into 1,000 ordinary shares of S$1 each. Later seed/Series A rounds increase capital through new share allotments at higher prices.
