Family Office
A private wealth management entity that manages the investments and affairs of one or more wealthy families.
A Family Office (FO) is a private entity that manages the investment, tax, succession, and lifestyle affairs of one (Single Family Office) or several (Multi Family Office) high-net-worth families. In Singapore, family offices commonly structure their investment vehicles as VCCs and apply for Section 13O or 13U tax incentives. MAS does not license SFOs that manage only their own family's assets, but MFOs typically require a Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence as fund managers.
A Gulf family with US$80M in liquid assets establishes a Singapore SFO with a VCC fund vehicle, applies for 13U, and obtains EP visas for the family principal and investment lead.
Karman handles incorporation, compliance, and ongoing corporate services for Singapore companies, family offices, and VCCs.
